Discussion:

Encouraged by Anna and KeithB's recent reports, I was off to Mount Shark today. I arrived to a half full parking lot at a temperature of -2 deg. There was a fair wind with light amounts of snow falling. I skied to Watridge Lake, then Hercules and some of Pegasus.

Fantastic to meet so many other skiers. Several had experienced some degree of snow clumping with the odd "catch and release" story thrown in. This was due to the wet snow that was gently falling.

Chatted with Ken and Karen along the way. They were returning back as just as I was heading out. Ken is a big Facebook YYC reader, but I encouraged him to send US a trip report sometime...

So awesome to meet a large group led by Steven from the guiding Company "To The Woods". Everyone was in a good mood. They told me Stephen is an awesome teacher.

I also met a number of gals down at Watridge Lake celebrating Isabel's Sweet 16th birthday party! Happy birthday!!

To the partygoer that inquired about an alternate approach to Skogan Pass, you may be interested in reading this report by Mike W from Dec, 2022. https://www.skierroger.ca/index.php?content=showski_special&id=1411

Thanks for the offer of the chocolate, ladies!

Watch for this nasty bit at the approach towards Watridge Lake

Nice view of the underlying creek

Evidence of clumping.
I had to scrape my skis several times.

Here is a look at my route
