I was hoping for a West Bragg update the past couple of days, so now I can provide that update myself. Things are a bit rough at West Bragg but we still had a great ski. (Mountain Road to Mountain View West, South side of Moose Loop, Moose Connector, West Crystal, Loggers, Sundog.) Anything in the sun is deteriorating with glazed tracks and spots with dirt bleeding through. Mountain Road was pretty wet and glazed; Mtn View West was better except for the open areas where the sun hits it; the south side of Moose Loop was pretty good generally with only a few bad spots; Moose Connector was good as it's more shaded; Loggers was quite good as well. All the trails in the shadow of Ranger Summit or those protected from the sun were holding up very well. I was on skin skis and my buddy on fishscales and we had no problems. Waxing would be very difficult in these conditions.
It was a beautiful warm day and I was down to my base layer and a ball cap. The fat bike trails looked very inviting, maybe I'll rent one and give it a go.
