After reading Chucks report on Shadow Lake I had to give it a go. I was not ambitious enough to go to Gibbons pass but I had great day. Got to the parking lot at 10:40 and temp was -5c. I used VX 43 on my light touring skis and it worked well all day. I had to add some warmer vx53 at the lodge. Lots of traffic coming out The track is great. Getting glazed and icy in the sun. Small ice flow across trail about 2km past the first campsite. It is marked by orange cones. It was a beautiful day and overall great conditions. Get it while it lasts.
