The tracks on the Cascade Valley trail were well-loved and wobbly, but adequate. Coming down the bigger hills, this is how I skied:

You keep your left foot in,
You put your right foot out,
If you try to ski the tracks, they will throw you all about.
You ski the Hokey Pokey Valley and you turn yourself around.
That's what it's all about. Yah!

The temp at the start was -8C, but we enjoyed -3 at the cabin at lunch time. I re-applied pink wax (V45) a couple of times, as the tracks were somewhat abrasive. A warm, calm day, until the top of the last big downhill to the Bankhead Jct. when the chinook winds picked up and blew a gale! Superb day on fast, wobbly tracks.

Total distance: 28.00 Km

The Hokey Pokey you say?

Thanks! I was wondering what it's all about.
