Discussion:

Finally, got that snow! We skied Wheeler to Boulton campground, down the short, steep hill and around the little connector to the Lower Lake Trail and back up to Wheeler. The small hill was so much fun we went up for a second run down. The air temperature was -3 to start and stayed the same all morning, so the snow was a little sticky. Three of us had fish scale skis (mine needed a rewax of liquid glide about half-way), while Anne on waxables had some minor sticking troubles, and Ray on skins was just slow! Beware the 'attack grouse' at the junction of Wheeler and the Lower Lake Trail. He was being very territorial! A fun day on fresh snow!

Total distance: 13.00 Km
