Skate Ski at Dawn Mountain in Golden - Awesome

Discussion:

Most of the trails at Dawn Mountain were freshly groomed for skating and it was a blissful skate ski. Even the trail that wasn't groomed that day was perfect with just a bit more light powder on top.

We went down Eagle, then across Moose to do the big loop of Raven. We had nice views along the way, especially at the top of a big hill, which was a welcome place for a rest. While it had snowed a bit that morning, the track was super smooth and forgiving, yet still fast.

We continued across Caribou and then skate skied up Cougar (always a good workout!), and finished up with Chickadee and upper Beaver. Such a nice home coming back to the Chalet from that direction.

What a beautiful ski.
