Dropped hubby off for his First Tracks lesson at Lk Louise and I headed to Baker Creek. -8 and so nice to be back on this trail again! One cannot help but notice the low snowpack: lots of twigs but one gets used to skiing over them. Tracks soft in places and nicely done by the groomers for the Loppet, but a big dump of snow and a second groom could make for great improvement. I sure miss the old ski route going through Protection Mountain, but like the closure of MLR, we can be grateful for those past opportunities. While driving back towards LL, I saw a snowmobile working behind Baker Creek, likely in preparation for the Loppet. Nice to run into Erin on this website and one other couple. -4 at noon.
