Fairview/Moraine Lk. Road

Discussion:

Given the unseasonal weather, we decided to ski Moraine Lake Rd. starting with the Fairview Loop. The temperature was -2 to start, so we used waxless skis on a track that was very smooth and quiet. Some fresh snow on the trees brought out an abundance of snow creatures. When we got to the couch, there was MaSid, relaxing and enjoying an almost perfect morning. After a short conversation, we headed off to Moraine Lk. Road. The trail was in good condition but slow. This made the return from the lunch stop almost too leisurely, with it being easy to stay in the tracks even in the steepest parts. We all felt more tired than usual but it was still a good ski day.
