Awesome day at PLPP, great morning ski (-6C at 9ish am) but sluggish / catch and release early afternoon (+7 at 2ish pm).
I parked at Elkwood and skied Wheeler, Whiskey Jack, Lookout N to S, Hydroline, Elk Pass, Patterson meadows, Tyrwhitt, Pocaterra, Packers and back on Wheeler to Elkwood.
With the exception of Elk Pass and Patterson meadows all the trails have excellent recent grooming.
The descent from the lookout on the south side is as good as it gets and it was an easy snow plow on my skinny skis, jus a word of caution on the last S curve, stay as much as you can on the curve "inside" / left skiing down as if you want to take a wide turn (as I did), you end up on some chunky / icy snow.
The catch and release were quite intense on the steeper sections of Pocaterra and Packers....

Total distance: 34.00 Km

Looks like that new fangled CGI grooming, it’s so perfect.

What a photo of Mt. Fox. Spectacular.
Caption could read "Stairway to Heaven".

Lookout South descent looks almost unreal. But I know now that if you want to have a comfortable ski down you have to be there right after the last grooming, preferably when the corduroy is just slightly softening up.
Great photos! Awesome spring skiing day!
