Started out at Pocaterra Hut at around 0830 with -3 deg, cloudy skies, and a snow squall. Though the skiff of snow the squall left behind slowed things down a bit on the new grooming on Lodgepole, Sinclair, Spruce, Meadow, and Braille, it was a godsend on Amos and Whoolley.
Great tracksetting on the trails west of the road. Amos, Whoolley, and Meadow are interesting, but what you'd expect (though I was surprised by the lack of debris). The tracks are all very distinct and hard, with the sun-exposed areas getting icy. The trails west of the road were a pleasure to be on, but the areas exposed to the sun were getting crunchy when I left at noon, so expect them to harden up when things freeze over.
Separately ran into Doyle and Chris - nice guys. Conditions were so good I did the area twice.
Total distance: 23.00 Km
