The Man from Badger Mountain
Discussion:
Seeing as how Alf and his posse had tracked out half of the good cutblocks around here the other day I stopped in at the Greater Bragg Creek BBB before heading out to look for turns. The good folks there suggested that for getting away from the crowds check out Badger Knoll. They did however mention that it's not for the faint of heart because of, you know, badgers. I pointed out that I was the Man from Badger Mountain and they said, Oh…well… in that case you're good!
Badger Knoll rises above Badger Meadow. Bagder Meadow gets it's name from the fact that badgers will hide in the tree wells of all those scrawny swamp spruce. When near any of these trees suspect badger.
Badgers from every direction!
The pristine and untouched slopes of Badger Knoll.
More pristinage. Badger Meadow below.
NW-ish view from the top of Badger Knoll.
A vaguely familiar looking LSSR (long skinny ski run).
Pro Tip: When skiing in badger country always drag your BDDs (Badger Defense Devices--aka ski poles). That way when badgers see your tracks they'll know you're not going down without a fight.
