Discussion:

We got too late a start today to drive out to the "Back Door" access at Peter Lougheed Park, only to find that the six parking spots were already taken. Instead, we opted to just start from the Elk Pass trailhead. That turned out to be a great choice. All of the trails from the Elk Pass parking lot had been snowmobile packed and had set up long enough to form a good base for skinny skis. The snow surface was cold, dry and buttery smooth to ski on. Fox Creek was very nicely packed and as aesthetic as ever. The Blueberry Hill trail was also firmly packed. Absolutely no hazards along the way. The unpacked snow depth was close to 30cm at the parking lot and around 40cm at the mid-point of the Blueberry Hill trail. A fun day of skiing and we only saw a couple of other people today.
